Adela Hernandez Gonzmart had long been admired as the matriarch of the Columbia Restaurant and Ybor City. Her love and devotion to her family, her heritage, and the arts have long been the secret to the success of the Columbia. Through Adela’s culinary skills, the traditional, nearly century-old recipes have continued at the Columbia Restaurant, founded in 1905 by her grandfather, Casimiro Hernandez Sr. These wines stand in memory of our mother Adela, the wonderful woman they were made to honor.
This outstanding Chardonnay is brilliant in color, with a complex bouquet and excellent intensity. Toasty overtones are derived from maturing in French oak casks. Smooth and beautifully balanced, it features notes of vanilla. Produced by the Torres family in memory of our mother and grandmother, Adela “Adelita” Hernandez Gonzmart, she would have loved this bottling.
